Schindler’s Factory owes its popularity to a certain film. We are certainly talking about Schindler’s List. This is a movie directed by Steven Spielberg from 1993 that brought the world closer to the figure of Oskar Schindler, a German entrepreneur who during World War II saved nearly 1,200 Jews working in his factory from death. Today in the building, where during the war Schhindlerjuden produced supposedly questionable quality pots, the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow organized an exhibition that allows you to move to occupied Krakow and feel the spirit of these very difficult and complicated times.
Such an exhibition recreates the cobbled streets of the city, invites you to the interior of the tram, allows you to read the headlines of the press at the time, inscriptions on the walls and signboards and watch documentary films in a small cinema. The whole is arranged in a multimedia story about the city and people who, against their will, found themselves in the center of war turmoil, where it is often difficult to find a clear border between good and evil.
